For those Waiting for their BFP
First I want to wish you ladies lots of luck!!!
I wanted to share my story with you as the first cycle I tried something different it gave me a BFP!!
My SIL belongs to the Just Mommies Board and learned of a secret that has worked for allot of people!
Starting at Cycle day 3 take Estroven for 5 days
Take Geritol Complete from Day 3 all the way up till the Beta
-Lemon Water
- Peppermint Tea at Night
After my IUI I took Baby Asprin all the way up to my beta. I kept drinking the Lemon Water through the day and Peppermint Tea at night up to my beta.
I thought it was worth a shot and it worked! Along with this I was ona medicated cycle with Injectables and a trigger shot. This is the first cycle with the same Injection dosage I was on that I produce 3 eggs. The other two month I only had one. I thought it was worth a shot and I decided to try it. I had back to back IUI's and now I'm pregnant!
It worked for me I hope it works for you!

Notebooking this
Did you use fresh lemons with water, or lemon juice with water? Also, what brand of peppermint tea did you drink?
And what dosage of baby aspirin? I'm going to ask my re about that, I'm on metformin and synthroid so I want to make sure that is ok to take on those meds.
thanks for this

yes please do not take aspirin unless you need it. there is no reason to thin your blood otherwise.

Re: For those Waiting for their BFP
For those waiting for their bfp:
Besides the baby aspirin which I HIGHLY recommend none of you take without asking your doctor, this is all very sound advice. I'd like to also add what I did to get *my* bfp.
I ate red foods (watermelon, red grapes, red meat)
I went to acupuncture
I kept my womb (mostly) warm
I wore special socks after my transfer to keep my feet extra warm at night, since I heard that could help implantation.
I drank grape juice
..... But you know why I never made a post advertising the key to my success? NONE of this matters!! The way I REALLY got my bfp was was faith, determination, and Dr.Tortoriello. Oh, I guess I have my dh to credit here too! and a little bit of luck which happened to be on my side.
The human mind THRIVES on predictability and control. Going through infertility takes away both those things. You can drink lemon water, wear warm socks, stand on one foot while scratching your butt, eh you can do ALL those things at the SAME time!! If it works, you will credit all those things. If it doesn't, you will chalk it up to hokey nonsense.
It's things like this that give the illusion that any of this is in your control. I assure you that nobody here missed out on their bfp on the count of some peppermint tea.
All you can do here is hope for the best, know that you're doing ALL you can, and PLEASE don't take anything (especially baby aspirin!!) without asking your doctor first!!!!

Amen. This made me but also
You said it best. An illusion works for about two min. As we all know. Keep faith and believe. I haven't gotten my bfp yet but my DH and I BELIEVE!

I agree 100%...That is the one thing you cannot control...every cycle is different and how your body reacts as well...I can say I was taking all these vitamins and supplements during my IUI's and all 6 failed and no matter what I took or did it did not work...even when my first IVF failed I was still taking vitamins and did not get a bfp but there is no way to know what caused me to have a failure...with my FET which I did get my bfp I stopped taking all the vitamins and just let my body do what it needed and it worked...maybe it was the 2 seasons of game of thrones I watched after the transfer or more likely that my uterine lining was favorable, my e2 levels were normal and the embryo was a good quality but who knows all I know is that I had a lot of faith and hope that it would work...I would highly discourage anyone from taking any medicine that may interfere or cause any issues when going thru infertility treatments...why risk it!

This is true! I drink water with lemon because I don't like water so I have to put lemon slice in it since I have recently gave up soda and Crystal light(RE's advice). Peppermint tea is caffeine free and is healthier than a Mocha Frappachino which i use to pick up on my way home from work. Will this alone give me a BFP who knows but at my follow up consult after my failed IVF cycle he did suggest a healthier diet and I am following it.

Did you take the Estroven, Geritol, and your prenatal vitamins all together?
Fresh squeezed lemon in water?

I used Fresh Lemons. 1/2 lemon squeezed into a water bottle shake it. The pepperming Tea was by Celestial Seasonings. The baby Asprin is a low dose of 81mg. I have heard that baby asprin helps with implantation. But I would check with your dr to make sure you are able to take it.
I hope this helps someone! I think it's great that the first month that I tried this it worked. Could of been just luck or my time..But I was willing to try anything!!!!
