Only thing I did was eat some Cadbury milk chocolate and my DD spread her legs without a pride in the world.Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: For those that had their Level II

they told me to empty my bladder before I went, so I think it might depend on the machine that a particular office uses...

Re: For those that had their Level II

I have had 2 different pregnancies and I had them at 2 different places. They told me to drink lots of water. But some of my friends that live out of state said they were never told to drink water so I am not sureChat Icon

Call the place & ask if their machines require you to drink water.

Also, you should eat something or drink oj (like you said) before you go to get the baby moving. I was starving & baby hardly moved at all at ours

Re: For those that had their Level II

They didn't tell me to do anything before but, when I got there they wouldn't let me pee well let me tell you, I was DYING by the time they started the ultra sound so much so that I think i was tightening my belly making it harder for them to see - anyway, they let me pee and after the baby was great - too great in fact - he cooperated so well that the whole thing was over in 20 min! I brought oj with me just in case but didn't need it. Good luck Chat Icon

I had to have 32ozs of water for part 2 of the sonogramm, high calorie breakfast also.

Re: For those that had their Level II

They didn't tell me anything about water before the level II (but at the ultrascreen they specifically said drink it) so I didn't worry about it. The appointment card says to drink water first (but thats preprinted so I'd imagine its just better to have a full bladder during any sono).

Don't know if you should have the OJ, that might make the baby too active and they have to take a lot of measurements! I didn't have anything sweet beforehand because I didn't want to excite the 'lil man...I didnt want to have to go back again!

they told me to drink alot of water before the appt. then as soon as i got on the table they told me my bladder was TOO full and told me to use the bathroom. go figure. as for the orange juice, i didnt drink any and the sex of the baby was determined with no problem. Re: For those that had their Level II

I did not have to drink water or "hold it" for hours either.

But I had to go a 2nd time since baby was not cooperating. Then I had to take OJ at the 2nd time anyway since he was starting to be uncooperative again.

I didnt have to do anything before mine..I called that morning and they said no prep was needed...this baby is up all the time and appears to wake up at the sound of my voice so I wasnt worried about him being asleep.
