For Sale By Owner
What are everyone's thoughts and/or experiences?
DH and I may have found a house through a friend that has not yet been put up on the market. I'm excited that we may have the advantage of dealing directly with the owner and not have to worry about beng outbid or whatnot, but I'm wondering what the disadvantages are to doing it this way. We are first time homebuyers so this is all new to us.

i bought my current house from fsbo. It was a pretty good experience, the only disadvantage, I thnk is that I had to do a lot of the leg work myself that maybe a realitor would do, negotiating and what not. Other than that it was a pretty good experience and I saved money with not having to pay commissions to any realitors. Good Luck and if you have any questios, feel free to fm!
