Announces its series of meetings for Breastfeeding Mothers: Spring 2007

Breastfeeding is a simple and natural process, but you may need support and information on the correct positioning of the baby at the breast, working and breastfeeding, avoiding problems, and overcoming any difficulties that may occur. Knowing other women who have breastfed their babies can be helpful and reassuring. Of course, children are always welcome at our meetings.


I. Advantages of Breastfeeding to Mother and Baby
Date: Wednesday, March 14 Time: 11:30 am

II. Baby Arrives; the Family and the Breastfed Baby
Date: Wednesday, April 11 Time: 11:30 am

111. The Art of Breastfeeding and Avoiding Difficulties
Date: Wednesday, May 9 Time: 11:30 am

IV. Nutrition and Weaning
Date: Wednesday, June 13 Time: 11:30 am

Meeting Location: Leader’s home: 27B Kaywood Road, Port
Washington, N.Y.

Membership in La Leche League is $40.00 per year. Members receive a bimonthly journal called NEW BEGINNINGS, filled with warm personal stories from breastfeeding parents along with up-to-date research, book reviews and much more.

These are all good meetings. Probably too late for me though. I think I'll just rely upon the LaLeche leader from the Nassau county twins organization.
