For moms of babies who always slept in their cribs

We never had Sasha in a PNP or bassinett. Now we have an issue in our apt, where we'll need to leave for 3 or 4 nights, and we have a vacay planned the end of summer as well. We don't have a PNP, but my mom has one and I have some other peapod thingamajig that a friend gave me which is MUCH smaller to pack up than a PNP.

Did you have a problem getting your kids to sleep in something other than a crib if that's what they were always used to?

i thought we would have an issue, but we didn't! he slept just as well in the PNP as his crib, even in the same room as us, with the lights on and the TV on low.

i hope you have the same luck! Chat Icon

we never really had a problem with Kaydyn sleeping in a PNP. She naps in one at my ILs but never slept in one all night. The first time we went away she was up all night but that was because she kept breaking out of the swaddle (we bought a bigger one with us than we usually used).

When we went on vacay in Dec, and when we just went away this weekend she had absolutely no problem falling asleep/napping in the PNP. I was even able to watch tv with her sleeping right next to me and she never even stirred.

I've never had a problem; DD transition well from crib to PNP from the very start. She was in her crib from day one, and we traveled when she was 6 weeks old and she did fine in the PNP.

DS did sleep in a bassinet for about 7 weeks, made the transition to the crib with no problem at all. We went out with him for a weekend at my best friends house and he slept in the PNP there with no problem at all! good luck!
