For mommies who experienced hair loss...
How many months pp were you? I'm 7 1/2 months and I'm losing so much! I'm going to have my thyroid levels checked to make sure it's not that. I have a hypothyroid and on meds. My meds were just adjusted in April. Usually hair loss is one of the first signs for me that something is off but I'm wondering if it is my hormones. When will it stop? I'm surprised I don't have bald patches

I started loses after 5 months PP. I thought I was safe. It was really bad until about 10 months PP then it started to grow back. I have those "antennas" on top of my head.

I lost a lot up till 6 mnths post pregnancy. MY b/f had to take apart the bathroom sink to clean out all the hair.
Its better now, I think its totaly normal, your body is still going thru changes (when is it not@!!)

my hair loss started about 4 mo PP and is still going (now 5 months PP).....I hope it doesn't last too long!!!!!!!

I forgot when it started exactly- but after 15 months it's finally starting to slow down. For a while it seemed to be falling out like crazy, though you couldn't tell.

I am 3 months pp and it started for me 2 months pp. I am hypothyroid, but I am on a higher dose of medication that is making me a tad on the hyper side (I am on the same dosage as when I was pregnant and 40 pounds heavier.) My endo said that if I stayed a little on the hyper side I would loose the hair sooner and much faster so we decided that because I feel great that I would just like to get this hair loss over with!! I will go back in 3 months and we will re-evaluate. So you probably may need a tweak in your meds if you are loosing is so late pp.
ETA: My hair loss has been so rapid I clogged the bath drain and just had to unclog it with draino!!My DH was just cleaning and couldn't believe all of the places he was finding my hair. The funniest spot is always on my dd butt at diaper changes.

It started around 3 and 1/2 months and was BAD till about 7 months PP and tapered off CONSIDERABLY then!

I lost a ton of hair from 4 months pp until about 7 months...then is eased it!

Im 4 months pp and it just started about 3 weeks ago. I thought if it was going to happen it happened right away, boy was I wrong

I think it started at 4mos and at 8mos seemed to be tapering off but it's still happening.
