? for daycare moms about cough
DD is 5 months and has had a cough and runny nose for the past few days. She doesn't have a fever and doesn't seem all that bothered by it (still her happy and smiling self)
As far as daycare goes will they take her tomorrow or should I plan on staying home? Like I said she doesn't have a fever and seems OK otherwise.
Thanks!

Re: ? for daycare moms about cough
I only keep DS home when he has a fever, diarrhea, or an arm falling off. Last year, he literally had a runny nose from August 28th until the end of May with many coughs in-between!!!!!!!!! It's just a part of being in daycare. It's also hard at 5mo old b/c they put EVERYTHING in their mouths. It gets better as they grow out of that phase.

Thanks!
I didn't want to get there and be told they can't take her. I would love to keep her home but if I had to miss work every time she had a cough I might as well not work!

They will definitely take her. I always send my son when he has a cold since I figure that's most likely where he got it from in the first place.
