Food Shopping Question
For babies still in a carrier how do you food shop? If you put the carrier in the big part of the cart you cant fit any food! Is it safe to put the carrier on the top part?

Re: Food Shopping Question
I put Joey in the Bjorn carrier or wait until the weekends and leave him home with DH. That's a good question though, I never use the carrier cause I am to nervous to put it in the front of the cart.

Re: Food Shopping Question
In the beginnign DH and I shopped alot together with DS in the snap and go.
But when alone if I was just picking up a few things I would put him in the back of the cart, (or even just use the snap and go's basket) if I needed more I put him on top of the cart, some stores the carts fit better than others. It made me nervous I admit, but when pushing the cart I just always kept one hand on his carrier and kept checking to see if it slipped at all.

Re: Food Shopping Question
I have a couple of different answers to this question, as I would do any of the following things when she was little:
-Use the sling -Leave her home with JT or the babysitter -bring JT or the babysitter and have them push her in the stroller -When she got to be around 5 months, she was sitting up, but still unsteady in the cart, so I'd put the cover on it and prop her up with blankets.

Me too. I find that you can usually place it at 2 different angles and it is secure. One lays the seat flatter and the other sits them up more. Now that she is older, I have it propped up so she can see and she love it, plus she is at my eye level then and I can entertain her while we shop.

Re: Food Shopping Question
I've put the carrier in the top part but i know your not supposed to.
I've used the bjorn, I've also put the baby in the cart. I've also saved big trips for when DH can watch the baby. Peapod on occassion.

Re: Food Shopping Question
I put her in the main part of the carrier. I usually have no problem buying what I need and have space. But once in bags I have to put them under the cart. I love it when my DH goes shopping with me (like yesturday) cause then we use a snap & go.....and he carries the bags

We started going alone, and the other would stay with DS. Now, Peapod has become my best friend.

Re: Food Shopping Question
DD wasn't in the infant carrier for long (as far as shopping carts goes) but when she was I used to put it on the top part. I was nervous but always made sure I was holding it insome sort of way. I wish I used the Bjorn more than I did. DD was a nosey baby, she hated the infant carrier and was sitting up with blankets surrounding her by 3 1/2 months. She was a much happier baby then.
