Food Ideas?
DD is 9 months has two pretty well developed front teeth and I *think* is cutting the top two. We are slowly weaning off pouches/jars (still use them every now and then) and trying to introduce more "regular" foods. She's not a super strong chewer yet but is getting there. Scrambled eggs and pancakes are a favorite so far, as are cut up soft fruits (bananas, grapes, peaches, etc.) She's not loving the texture of pasta but is spitting out less every time I give them to her, so I guess that's a good sign. Any other quick and easy to prepare soft foods that are more main meals for dinner? I'd love suggestions! Thanks!

She can eat whatever you eat provided you're not adding too much salt. Teeth aren't necessary. DD was gnawing on pieces of steak and chicken by 8-9 months and didn't get her first teeth til she was 10 months.

She can eat whatever. My DS did not get any teeth until he turned one and he had been eating strictly solids from 9-10 months.

Re: Food Ideas?
My kids still love pastina. I found it the easiest pasta to introduce.

By 9 months my son was completely on table food, he had no interest in the pouches. I would give him meatballs, macaroni, chicken cutlets, potatoes, broccoli. Everything cut up very small

This. My DD didn't get her first tooth until she was 1 but was eating ALL kinds of table foods from 6 months on, and not everything was super soft. Their gums are very strong and they are able to grind and break down food without any teeth at all so don't stress too much over what foods you're giving, try everything until you find things she likes!
ETA - I didn't specifically worry about salt intake. I cooked how I cooked and my kids both ate whatever I made. I wasn't adding additional salt to their dishes but I also didn't go out of my way to make their meals any less salted than ours.

I agree! Don't underestimate those gums!
The Baby Led Weaning book has great easy recipes, I used to make them all the time, still do sometimes. If u can get ur hands on a copy, perfect. If not, u can go on their website, they have recipes in there too. There's also a forum in the same website where mommies share recipes.

Re: Food Ideas?
DD is 8 months and her first 2 teeth are just starting to break through. She's been on table foods for a while already. She basically eats anything we eat except for tough things, like a steak.

Sweet Potatoes & zucchini I used to cut in strips and bake them for DS. Steamed broccoli and baby carrots. Chicken cutlet cut into small pieces. Fish sticks.
