Follistim HELP!!!

I was supposed to get my meds delivered today, but due to a screw up with the pharmacy they never showed up. I'm supposed to start the Follistim tonight. I'm so upset and angry right now.

I have a few extra doses in my Follistim pen from last month. I started using the cartridge on 5/18 and it's been kept in the refrigerator this whole time. Does anyone know if I can still use it? I'm going to call the pharmacist now and hopefully they will be able to help. My Drs office is closed should I call the emergency # and ask?

The pharmacist will give you the right answer, my first choice wouldnt be to use it, but if its that or nothing, I cant imagine it would hurt more than using nothing at all.

I would think it would be fine...just check the expiration date on the package.

But call the pharmacy to double check

Hopefully you've gotten your answer by now- but from what I remember - My 1st IVF cycle I had just opened and used one dose of a new Follistim pen before my RE took me off stims (Err- and we were self pay so I was )...I wanted to save it for my second cycle in case there was one and I believe when I called the Follistim hotline in the pamphlet they said it was good for 30 days, refrigerated only after opening it (hence for me, a whole brand new pen went in the trash)...Definately call the hotline if you can- they were very helpful !

Thank you all for your help! I called the pharmacy and I can take it since it has been open for less then a month. Now hopefully I will get the rest in time.
