Re: flying with a 2 month old
We flew with Ale at 5 months. My SIL flew with newborn twins AND a 3-year-old for 24 hours.
It's actually really easy at that age. I would get a seat for her though - that is the safest way to travel and God forbid anything should happen on the flight - turbulance can be ebough to knock a baby right out of your arms.
ETA - has she had shots yet?? Planes are notorious for spreading germs... that's what I would be concerned about, and I am far from a germaphobe.

Re: flying with a 2 month old
We flew with DS just shy of 3 months with DH to Florida and then I took him alone just over 4 months to Georgia. We then took him together to DR at 9 months. I'd say the 3 month trip was the easiest - the pressure and the engine noise lulls them to sleep.
I say go for it and enjoy your trip!

We flew with DS the day he turned 3 months. It was the easiest flight we've taken with him

I flew with my son when he was just about 4 months, easiest thing ever. Its when they can move about that it gets difficult!
