Flying tomorrow with a 5 month old, whats the rule for carrying on Formula?

I know I should just call the airline and I am sure I will but figured I would ask here first.

We use powder formula with bottled water.....is that going to even work?/

TIA

I filled all of my bottles with the water and put the powder in the formula dispenser.

They will scan your bag and then ask you if they can test the bottles to make sure that it is water. It is quick and easy and you are standing right there when they test it.

You can carry on as much powder as you want. If you premix it, you can carry on as much as is "reasonably needed" (so if flying to FL you can't bring on like 10 premade bottles). Some security agents will be more lenient than others though.

When I flew, the TSA opened my bottles and I didn't feel comfortable with that. If I do it again, I'd bring on premeasured powder and then buy a bottle of water after security so it wasn't opened and touched.

I usually just bring the powder and buy the water after security but, they will let you bring a bottle of water through if it's for the baby (I was going to throw one out once and they let me keep it).
