Flying to Key West
Has anyone flown into Key West? We were thinking of doing this rather than doing the drive. We drove from Ft. Lauderdale airport last year and want to go back and were thinking of doing the flight. I see on SW it stops in Orlando from Islip. Anyone take this flight??

Flying to Key West
Years ago I flew into Miami and from Miami to Key West. It was a small plane (I think about 30 passengers) but the flight was fine and definitely saved a lot of driving time (We only did it one way - drove from KW to Miami to fly back to NY)

Flying to Key West
I have flown in through Tampa and Fort Lauderdale on United and they were small planes.
I believe the SouthWest connection is through AirTran (since they own them) and it's a regular sized plane.

I flew out of Miami when I went to Key West. Plane was small coming and going, but saved time. On the way back there was a delay in Miami which delayed our flight 2 hours on the runway. Then I missed my flight in Miami of course.
Other than that, it was fine.

I flew out of my local airport, connected on Charlotte, and then direct to Key West. The nice part was they were both normal size planes.

Flying to Key West
I have always flown into Key West expect 2x. I would much rather fly.
Most of the flights connect in either Miami, Tamp, orlando. There is jet service intot he airport but only a few flights and I think only certain times of the year.
I have flown from there out of Islip and out of LGA.
