flying southwest and have ?

I got an e-mail that the plane has w-fi and I can watch TV shows for free. The last time I tried I could not do it. I am not the most tech-savvy person, so I need help.
Do I have to pay to use the Wi-Fi on the plane or is it free?

If you want to surf the net and send texts etc- it is paid. $8 I believe.

You can log on with your own device and watch a selection of TV shows, listen to music, watch the flight tracker, for free

Bring your own device though- ipad or tablet or laptop.
You can use your phone but it would be annoying to watch tv on my phone, it's pretty small.

You do have to download their app once you are on board.

Thanks. I am going to have DS with me so I want to be prepared incase he gets fussy.

When you open your internet there is a screen that pops up for southwest. Enter your email and you will be able to watch tv and listen to music

If you want the actual internet its 8 and 2 if you only want to be able to use your existing apps. They do have free stations and i think there were some free shows too.

When we flew SW in April, they offered free wi-fi, so we could surf the web, etc.
