flying on tues with an 8 month old=question

Do I need to bring her birth certificate? SS card? anything to identify her? lol

We didn't bother getting her her own seat. She doesn't sit still for a second, so she doesn't have her own ticket.
I'm starting to get everything together so I just want to make sure I have everything I need

Oh and another thing...will I survive this flight?? I"m so nervous flying with her. I'm afraid she's gonna be a handful!Chat Icon

When we flew he was 7.5m. I had to bring a copy of his birth certificate and he had to be registered on the flight even though I was holding him. Call jetblue and see if you need to. Dont freak out about it! I was so surprised when he slept almost the whole way. He loved banging the tray and looking out the window. It will go fast, you'll be ok! Chat Icon

I brought her vaccinations just incase. because she's so young they won't question you.

eta: I flew with dd in Sept when she was 8 months and I flew by myself. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. She slept both flights. Just make sure the airlines know you will have a lap infant. and gate check a stroller.

We flew with twins at 5.5 months and again at 9 months. We brought birth certificates but weren't asked for them. You will be fine!

We flew Jet Blue in September. I brought a copy of her BC. They checked it on the way down, but it wasn't even looked at on the way home.

And the original is not necessary, a copy is acceptable. I checked the website before we traveled.

I just flew with DS bymyeslf and it was fine. I called the airline to find about identification - I didn't need any for him. I made sure to give him a bottle take off and landing, also some new toys, etc. and I used wipes to wipe down the surrounding area since they now touch everything! GL - I'm sure she will do fine!

We flew with DS when he was 4 months and when he was 15 months. We didn't bring his birth certificate or SS card and we were not ever asked for it. You will survive...bring new toys for her and lots of snacks!

I've taken 2 roundtrip flights with DS and didn't need to show his birth certificate (but, brought it just in case).

He was younger at the time but, slept the whole way - the movement of the plane knocked him out.

We're going to Arizona in Jan when he's 13 mos - I'm nervous about that flight!

Bring the birth certificate. She will be fine!!! It is the mommy that will stress way too much! Luca did great on his flight. He fell asleep immediately, which made it hard to get him to suck on his bottle during take off.
