Flying Jet Blue? Flying in general?

Did anyone fly Jet Blue recently with a lap infant? How was it? Did you walk around? If there is an empty seat can we use it? What happens with the stroller and car seat even though she's a lap infant?

Also... How does it work with water and milk? I have to buy everything past the security gate? What did you bring on with you?

Water & milk for your infant don't have any restrictions. You can check your stroller and car seat at the gate. They will give you a hot pink tag for each item and you just pick it up as soon as you walk off the plane.

When we flew with DS on our lap, it wasn't bad at all. If there is an empty row or seat next to you, I can't see them telling you, you cannot sit there. unless it's for security purposes.

I didn't fly jet blue but I imagine all airline would be the same. I didn't walk around on the plane. My dd just got passed back n forth between us and the grandparents. My dd is she rally good so we had relatively no issues with her on or laps. I would def do it again.

As for empty seats, we flew on southwest where there's no assigned seating so we just put her on a seat between us and got lucky and didn't have to give up the seat!

Stroller and car seat can be gate checked. They will be there waiting for you when you exit the plane.

I bought everything after going through security. I just didn't want the hassle of having my liquids checked.

Just got off JetBlue two weeks ago. There were no empty seats. On the way to San Fran two lap infants cried literally the entire trip. I felt so bad for them and their parents. But we all had headsets so it wasn't bothersome. They couldn't walk around much because we had a stiff headwind (turbulence).

The way back was just as packed, but less bumpy. I even took AJ for a 'walk' to the front of the plane and back, just to stretch her legs.

Stroller has to be folded to get thru security. I never fly with a carseat, ever, I just rent at my destination. So can't help there

AJ is pro traveler now and knows security protocols. She just wants to raise her hands like everyone else does LOL. She's never sat in a car seat on the plane and she's always been as seated/ticketed child since she just barely 2 on her first trip.

I know AJ would NEVER have made it as a lap child. She hated being held for long periods unless she was sleeping or being fed. She wanted to feel us but held in one positions for long periods upset her.

Gate check makes life simple!

We flew w a lap infant last November. You don't just get an empty seat unless you pay for it or get extremely lucky that the flight isn't full. We paid for extra leg room.

I took rtf formula with me no problem. They just need to scan it.

We gate checked our car seat/snap and go.

I flew with my son as a lap infant last year when he was 15 months old. It was nice on Jet Blue because even the economy seats have good leg room.

Despite that, on the way there, we upgraded to the economy plus (or whatever it's called) for even more leg room, because I could tell from the website (choosing seats) that the flight would be totally full, and I wanted him to be able to walk around without going in the aisle. He was happy just walking around the legroom area (it was really spacious!).

On the way home, we saw from the website that the flight was half empty, so we didn't upgrade and just got the row to ourselves, and then at one point my husband took him to another empty row and had him nap there. If there are empty seats, you can definitely use them.

Stroller and car seat you can either check at the check-in counter, or you can check it at the gate.

I've never had a problem taking water or milk through security since they were always in kid bottles or sippy cups. They either just let me through or they tested it with some device first.

Onto the plane I brought a mix of filling and non-filling snacks. Filling for when he was actually hungry, non-filling (like puffs that are mostly air) so that he could feed himself and keep himself occupied for long stretches of time. I also brought little toys that didn't have parts that could easily be lost and entertained him with pictures on my phone, pressing the buttons on the arm rests, etc.

we just flew JetBlue last month with DD (1st time flying). We bought her a seat just in case she was going to give us a hard time & I am glad we did b/c she was all over the place (my lap, DH lap, her seat)
We gate checked the stroller and I brought snacks (goldfish, cheerios, puffs) with me & bought her milk once we passed security. I also brought some books & Ipad to keep her entertained.

Flew last month and we bought milk, water, packs, snacks and everything but the kitchen sink. JFK didn't bat an eyelash and sent us through.

Buy a bag (babies r us/buybuybaby) to put stroller in and one for car seat. It may get a bit dirty or banged around at gate ck.
