Re: Flying help
Feed her on take off. that way she will be su<king & her ears won't hurt. Then she might even sleep for most/all of the flight. Make sure you have a doddie (pacifier), her fave toy. It's a quick flight so it shouldn't be so bad.

Re: Flying help
We just got back from vacation in Florida and the best thing that we did was give Jacob Tylenol ( my brother suggested this to me since I was a nervous wreck!!!) an hour before we left going there and back.
It definately did the trick-going down he slept for an hour and a half and coming back yesterday he slept from before take off until right after we landed..

Leave her with Marc? J/K
Agree with the bottle & the pacifier for her ears. Feeding them on the takeoff is supposed to alleviate the pressure change in their ears. Also bring enough diapers, bottles (or on tap if you're nursing), outfits & ziplock bags in case you're delayed.

Re: Flying help
My advice is never to preboard if you have a child that is mobile. I learned that the hard way. The always let people traveling with small child board early and then all that happens is you sit on the plane for another 45 minutes while everyone else boards. By the time you are ready to take off, the baby gets fidgity! So I wait until the last possible moment and let Jack run around and then get on the plane so we can just sit down and take off right away. With that, don't plan to bring too much carry on luggage since if you wait to board there won't be much over head space left. But in my experience it is easier to check everything but the essentials.

My pediatrician said the same thing. I am glad to know it works.
