Flu shot during the 1st trimester?

With DS, I was very pregnant during flu season and I got the flu shot. I usually get a flu shot each year. Other than a sore arm, I've never had a reaction to it. I'm very early in my pregnancy and I'm sure I'll be offered the flu shot at my first appointment.

If you're in the first trimester, what did you decide to do about a flu shot? Do you normally get a flu shot?

I usually don't, but I got one at 8 or so weeks. My doctor highly recommended it so that I don't get the flu while pg and so that the baby has the antibodies after birth.

I got it the afternoon I got my BFP... while I was MUCH farther along with DS when I got it, I wasn't worried as it was the thimerisol free (as per my request) and it was highly recommended by both the ped and my OB

I never got the shot before but I was about 10 weeks along when I got it. No side effects and I'm glad I did it so I don't have to worry about complications from the flu.

I got my Flu shot around 7-8 weeks or so. I just made sure to receive the "preservative" free vaccine.

I requested one at my last appt but my Dr wanted me to be past my 13th wk so I will be going back just for the shot when I have some time. I have had one before w/only some swelling in my arm but she still wanted me to wait a little bit.
