Flouride spinoff .. maybe geared more towards NYC moms re: drinking water?
What kind o water do they drink? Tap, bottled? We live in queens so most of the time we drink our tap water, which has flouride in it.
Do you use a water filtration system to remove your flouride? Can you recommend yours?

Ask your ped.
Mine was happy with our kids drinking our water and didn't want us to remove fluoride.
That being said, my kids drink very little water (mostly milk).

The fluoride is good for them, but just not too much. Make sure they're not getting it somewhere else too.
We do not have fluorinated water where I live, so my son takes prescription vitamins (like a poly-vi-sol) but with iron and fluoride.

It depends on who you ask. Suffolk County does not have flouride in their water because it is a toxic substance, a by-product of the mining industry. How is that safe to ingest? It's not clear to me.

They always say NYC has the best drinking water so my kids drink tap water I mix it in with juice, chocolate milk or just straight up!

Btw... Fluoride has been in NYC tap water for over 50 years. Wikipedia has a short review of the controversy. If we didn't drink tap, we would be using vitamins.

My parents raised us anti fluoride and to date I have only have one cavity which was semi recently (as an adult).
We all use fluoride free toothpaste. It is a toxic substance and there is no evidence it is good for you.

I agree. I give DSs bottled water but know I need to find a better alternative than that too.

I buy natures gate from drugstore.com. Heath food stores usually carry. There are a few other brands, toms of Maine, but I don't support them since they were bought out.
