Flex spending account doesn't cover prenatals?
I guess all OTC's are now not covered. I might ask my OB to perscribe some for me....how much is it usually for perscribed prenatals?

I just got a 3 month supply for $137.00 and that was with my insurance. They vary. My DH is a pharmacist and says most of the brand names are about $50 a month or more. He found one generic that was below $30.00

With my insurance, I pay $20/ month. (I take OB complete) I also heard that OTC drugs may not be covered but I thought it was starting next year?

effective Jan 1 2011, you need a prescription for OTC meds to get reimbursed from FSA. I would ask your doc to write you the prescription for the OTC so you can get reimbursed; I'm sure they will know and be used to it by now. that way you don't have to spend all that money on the real prescription ones.
also, your copays should be covered under your FSA, so that's something to consider.

We actually send the bills for the copay from our Rx prenatals and it's not an issue..I pay $30/3 months for the prenatal and another $10/3months for the folic acid...yes, FSA is more strict this year than in years past
