Re: Fishnets
I think as long as the holes are small enough, your skirt is long enough, and you keep the rest of your look classy and professional, it can be done.

Completely agree! Actually, I think the tighter-knit fishnets look VERY classy. They revoke the images of the bygone days, of perfectly put together women in hats and gloves...

Re: Fishnets
Nude fishnets can also work well, they're not as obvious. But definitely keep the rest of the outfit (specifically skirt and heels) very ladylike.

ITA. It feels very retro in a good way! I also think it's not much of a difference from the patterened tights that are so popular now.

Re: Fishnets
I have worn them to work with knee high boots and a pencil skirt, sweater dress, etc. I think that is acceptable. If I was wearing a mini skirt with them - it would be a different story

Re: Fishnets
It depends on the fishnet, the outfit, and how the person carries it. It can look cheap and trashy I am sure...and it can look super classy and chic! All depends on how it's done.

Re: Fishnets
Depends on your job. I'm a teacher and wouldn't wear fishnets to work!

Re: Fishnets
Absolutely....in a very tight weave they bring just a little sex appeal to an otherwise conservative outfit....

Re: Fishnets
I have and I agree that a tight weave and a longer skirt/dress helps balance the look. Nude makes it even more conservative and I love how nude fishnets look.

Re: Fishnets
It really depends. It can be done in a classy way & look good for sure.
This woman I work with often wears fishnets with really shorts skirts & superhigh heels... somebody needs to remind her it's daytime & she's at the office.
