i would definitely try tilapia first. it's really mild!

you can cook it in so many ways, but i think tilapia piccata is a good starting point and really easy to make.

cod is pretty mild too, a miso-glazed cod is always delicious.

salmon is another big favorite of ours but it can have a bit of a stronger flavor for someone who's never eaten fish.

I agree w/ tilapia - you can either bread and fry/bake it, just put a pat of butter, garlic salt and paprika and bake it, or put some capers and lemon juice/zest w/ butter and bake. IF YOU FRY FISH, YOUR HOUSE WILL SMELL LIKE FRIED FOOD.

The first fish I gave DS was fried scallops - told him they were fish nuggets (again, you can fry/bake)

He also likes, no LOVES salmon (throws fits in the market b/c he wants it). I usually get enough for 2 meals and marinate/bake it. The 2nd night I make salmon burgers w/ the left overs - salmon, egg, breadcrumbs, lemon zest/juice, garlic, grated onion, fresh basil.

If you make breaded white fish (tilapia/cod/hallock) you can make it into tacos too - might hide the flavor a little for you).

No, its the oil. I don't mind it - drives my mom crazy though.

ITA with the above as well. I would start with a white fish (cod, tilapia, etc.) as opposed to salmon. If you bread it and bake it in the oven, it's simple and tasty. Especially when finished with some lemon sprinkled on top!

I definitely agree with the suggestion of tilapia. I oven fry it and my house never smells like fried food because of it.
