First prenatal appointment

I got my bfp on thanksgiving. I have my first doctors appointment tomorrow. I am not sure how far along I am. I had my last period on October 15 but didn't ovulate until around November 10 (im not sure what date. I got a positive ok on nov 8)

What should I expect? Will DH be able to go in with me?

I never had a pre ttc appointment. We decided quickly to start trying ttc. Is there anything I need to ask when I go? I'm excited and nervous!

My very, very first was simply to confirm the pregnancy. They did an internal sonogram at about 7 weeks and it was tiny but there. They then scheduled what I considered the first prenatal appointment where they did another internal sonogram. He showed me the yolk sac, my ovaries and where the baby dropped from. He measured the baby, confirmed my due date and took a bunch of blood. They also went through both sides of our family history. We talked about I then asked a million questions that I had written down (what can I really not eat, can I fly, how much should I gain, hospital questions, etc.) DH asked if we can have sex because he was terrified!

DH can def. go in! Mine has been to every appointment.

Dh can def go with you... Dh has come to almost all my appointment, the scheduled ones. Good luck tomorrow. It's so exciting. Did they say they would do a sono? If you are earlier than 6 or 8 weeks, depending on your dr, they may not do a sono. They may just do a urine confirmation and ask you questions to guestimate how far along you are.

Do they confirm the pregnancy while you are there or do you have to wait for the bloodwork to come back?

How soon after the first appointment do you go back?

I just had my first appointment today! it was actually supposed to be next week but I had some spotting yesterday so I called this morning and they asked me to come in this afternoon. I'm 5w 5d and my last period was 10/14 so you're probably about the same. They did an internal sonogram and I was able to see the heartbeat, yolk and sac! Then they drew some blood and that was it. I'm still going for my appointment next week (which DH will come to) and I guess that'll be my first real appointment where they get family histories, information, etc.

DH didn't come with me to my 1st appt.... they just took a bunch of blood, urine sample and gave me an EDD based on my LMP.

The EDD changed once I had my first internal u/s at 7 weeks.

Thanks for the information. The day can't go by quick enough! I hardly slept last night. When I called to make the appointment they didn't say what they would do.

I didn't think this would be an exciting appointment but I wanted DH there anyway.
