First IUI cycle
Hi ladies, was hoping for some help.
I am doing my first IUI w injectable. We used clomid and Kaupners (spelling?) will deliver tonight. Unsure of time. I had one follie at 14 on the left one at 17.5 on the right blood levels pending from draw this morning. What has your experience been w trigger when did you take it and when was the IUI? Did you work afterwards, and how long do we abstain from before hand? Is it better if we don't will that cause more swimmers?
Sorry for all the questions - I am so on edge w all this.
Thanks ladies!! to all!

Re: First IUI cycle
I've noticed that some REs time them a lil different. But for me I triggered at night 10-11pm, and went in for IUI 36 hours later. You will ovulate 36-48 hours after trigger. The object is to get the lil guys there before you O, so they are already in the tube waiting for the egg. I usually take the day off but you can go back to work right afterwards. You abstain for 48 hours (2-3 days they say but definitely 48 hours)before the IUI, and you can BD that night if you want. Just remember, if you test...the trigger can stay in your system for 8-12 days and will show up on a HPT.
Good Luck To You!!!!!

This.
And there's no reason to take the day off. DH and I walked probably about 6 miles the day I had my only successful IUI. If it's going to work, it will work. The IUI gets the sperm exactly where it needs to be, so lying down or taking it easy has absolutely no effect. They can't fall out of you!
