First Holy Communion Gift
I hope you can help me. I haven't been to a communion in ages and I don't know what is customary to give as a gift. My very good friend's son is making his Holy Communion and they are having a lunch at a family restaurant afterwards. My husband, 3 yr old DD, infant son, and I are attending. What $ amount should we give? Thank you so much in advance.

not that this will help you, but my friend's daughter had hers yesterday. Dh and I coudn't attend. I am sending her a pair of heart earrings with blue stones.
IMO, $100 would be very generous. but don't quote me on that. I'm Jewish, so what do I know?

I think $100 is a good gift. My friend's DD is having hers today and we got her a personalized bracelet ($50 or so) and $50.

DH and i are attending his cousins sons
First Communion next Saturday and we're gonna give him $75 (we have no kids, its just the 2 of us).

I usually give Savings Bonds for a communion - $150 or $200
