First Dr. B Appt - UPDATE
My first appt w/Dr. B is tomorrow @ 3.
I am a mix of emotions. What can I expect from the 1st appt?
I am so nervous..let the countdown begin..
Yesterday we met w/Dr. B & DH & I really felt comfortable around him.
I have to say I really like the atmosphere of the office. I liked how the lights were mid & I think it really eased my stress level.
The wait was long which I had anticipated & the meeting w/him was about 30-40 min. Overall I liked his vibe & I want to thank you girls for the rec.
Besides having endo, my cycles are regular so he wrote a script for DH for a SA & told me to come back on CD3 for an internal.
Can you girls tell me what to expect next mo? I know hes done this a million times but I feel so weird getting an internal on AF

At my consult he went over my massive filed from previous RE and my history. We discussed my possible issues and he sent me and DH for bloodwork. We were there for well over an hour and the next day he sent me an email summarizing our conversation and attaching articles he referenced during our appointment.

same here.
except... I think he forgot the email to me with the attachments. He did say he would send it... but I met him in the city... so I think the transfer of information just probably got lost along the way. And truthfully I didn't even remember it myself until literally just now when I read this.
But he was really good... and he made me feel so calm about everything after leaving that office. I felt like good things were going to come our way, and we were going to find out the issues if any. I really felt like I was in good hands. I think he relaxed me so much that it helped me get a BFP naturally that cycle.
And just because i went to that consult with him, I'm still considered one of his patients and get all the appts and sono's you would normally get once you get the BFP.
Best decision ever. Good Luck!! You made an excellent decision!!!

Its a small world b/c once he found out who my OB was, he said he has trained her back in the day. I love my OB so I know I am in good hands with him.
Do you know what U/S checks for? is it clotting? and when do you get the results?

i am not going to dr.B, but i can answer in general. CD3 u/s is for a few purposes: to check that your lining is ok after AF ( in terms of thickness) and to make sure there are no cysts or anything suspicious for that matter. GL!

its not bad, they want to see your lining and date it to see where you are in your cycle.
They will also be able ot see what ovary you ovulated on in your last ovulation.
They should also be taking bloodwork to test your hormone levels to see if they are in line with being on CD3.
As for being on cd3, they should have paper and a thick liner (it looks like a wee wee pad) on the exam chair

clotting is checked thru an extensive blood test, not u/s. Results of u/s are right away, he is telling you what he sees and if you are ok to proceed with whatever your treatment is.

Thank you girls for your responses.
I asked him if he was going to write me a script for bloodwork but he wanted to do the u/s first.
I guess once he has the SA & the CD3 results he will decide where to go from there.

Can't help with Dr. B questions but I had my frist internal while having AF today and it wasn't bad at all. I had a woman do it though so maybe that helped.

The internal sono on CD3 is nothing and you really just get used to it. Of all things IF related to stress over, that is not one of them!!
