First birthday menu advice

DS first birthday is a carnival theme. We are having the party at the carousel pavilion at Hempstead Lake and planning on cooking all/most of the food and heating it in sternos the day of. We are having about 40-50 people. 12 children most under 18 months. We're trying to keep our menu as easy as possible since we are extremely busy and don't have a lot of free time on our hands.

This is what we were thinking of making.

Turkey burger sliders
Pigs in a blanket
Sausage and Peppers
Baked Ziti
Smiles french fries (the prepackaged ones for the kids)
Chicken cutlets(DH's mom makes awesome ones) or Chicken legs (not sure which would be better)
Big tossed salad

DO you think that is enough or do we need something else vegetarian or some kind of veggies. Different kind of pasta? Should we get a hero also? or some pizzas for the kids? I'm not really sure...

The party is 1:30-4, so I don't know if people will come starving.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Re: First birthday menu advice

I love your menu!! I know I would probably eat everything there!! But there may not be enough for non-meat eaters (other than baked ziti and salad). What about mac and cheese? Both kids and adults like it!

Also if you're short on time and need quick ideas- you can do pasta salads- mac salad, potato and coleslaw. Heros are good too- especially since if there is any leftover its easy to wrap extra sandwiches and have lunch for a couple of days. I would stay away from the pizza though- it can get cold quickly and I know I never know how much to order (especially when you have so much other food)

Also, as far as the chicken, i think cutlets would go off much better than legs. Plus its more likely the kids will eat them.
