First appointment with RE

I just made my first appointment with an RE - Dr. Sung at RSoNY. Does anyone here use her, or that practice in Mineola?

I've had heavy, irregular periods all my life but just went on BC pills as a teenager and went about my business. Now that we're over 30 and ttc I went to the GYN about them, and she gave me a sono that showed I'm polycystic. That, plus the +OPKs I get every time I try, and she sent me right to an RE. I'm glad she didn't take the "wait and see" approach but I'm pretty nervous.

What can I expect at my first appointment?

I am a pt of RSOFNY in Stony Brook and conceived both my and there....

Dr.Sung is who got me my DD (IVF)
She is very very sweet !

I too have PCOS...My DS was an IUI w/ Clomid to help me ovulate .

They will probably have your DH for a semen analysis (at a future appt), and they may send you to have a hysterosalpinogram done ( HSG) where they check to make sure your tubes are not blocked...Most cycles of any sort begin on day 3 of AF w/ bloodwork etc...

Welcome and I hope your stay here is super short!

PCOS is not my fertility issue, but there are a tons of PCOS girls on here who have and had successful pregnancies.

I just had my first appointment with RSONY and met with Dr. San Roman. He was very nice. They took blood, prescribed me provera, DH will get a SA and I have to go for a fasting blood test to check my sugar levels. Once I get AF, I will have to go and have my day 3 testing and then start clomid after that. I'm excited and nervous! We are blessed b/c we have dd, but that happened naturally for us after 2 years of

Thank you. It makes this process so much easier to talk to women who have been where I am and can tell me what to expect.

And I love hearing the success stories too!
