Firetruck processional down LIE today...?
Local fire departments had their trucks on the LIE over passes with American flags hung and there were a lot of firetrucks from Levittown in convoys down the LIE.
Does anyone know what this was for?

A firefighter (I think from Levittown) died in the line of duty.

I kinda figured something along that line. That makes me sad. Even worse that it was in the line of duty.

He was an 82 year old veteran responding to a car accident,he had a heart attack at the scene!I heard this on News 12!

Yeah, usually when there's a procession and flags, it's a funeral. I just asked my DH (he's a firefighter) and apparently the firefighter was 82 and died from a heart attack while at a car accident. At least he died doing what he loved.
