Finishing a basement..cost?
for tile floor and drywalls and ceiling for a 950 sq ft basement--10k is a good price right? materials are separate. Thanks!

Is that just labor only? I had my basement done but we did most of the work ourselves (since we got outrageous quotes from contractors) and only brought guys in to put up sheet rock on walls/ceiling, and then i hired a guy to come in and put down carpet. My basement is smaller, about 450 sq feet, and altogether it cost me about 3400. I am not sure how much more tile costs though. If you need a sheet rock guy let me know, they were pretty reasonable and we were happy with the job they did.

If you have found somebody to do it for that price, it is great! But if you are budgeting, I would say it is way low. Tile installation runs 7-10$ a sq ft(including leveling the floor etc), Drywall is easily 4$ a sq ft. This was our experience in Nassau-we did a similar sized basement and we compared a lot of prices. We don't know anybody in the trade so we probably got jacked up prices but it was a shock for us too!
