Finding out the sex at 17 weeks?
I have a sono tomorrow and I'll just about 17 weeks... do you think they'll be able to determine boy or girl or is it still too early? I know this has been asked before so I apologize for being repetative 
**This is not my level 2, just FYI.

depends on the doc. some will not even try to determine until level II BUT if you are having a sono anyway, I dont see why they wouldnt sneak a peak  
keep us posted!! it is totally possible to see, as long as the baby gives it up!

its possible; ive heard many people that have but it depends on your dr if they will even guess. mine wouldnt even guess until 20 at the level 2. and also depends on if ur baby opens his or her legs to show u!

HI, I had a sono also @ 17 weeks. We asked the doctor if she could tell us the sex of the baby and she said she could tell at that point but she wouldnt tell us because its not 100% and she doesnt want to give us wrong info.
She insisted we wait till the 20 weeks appt.

They told me at my 12 week sono and it was confirmed at every appt after, so I think you should be able to find out as long as the baby agrees!

Well, we're going for a specific genetic test at Madonna Prenatal, so hopefully the sono tech won't be stingey with her info... we're banking on finding out tomorrow! 
But if not, our level 2 is in 2 weeks....

At my 17 week appointment we asked if we could find out. The room was open so our doctor took a look. He told us he was 90% sure that it was a girl. It was confirmed at my Level II.

My tech wouldn't even venture a guess at that point.
It will all depend on the tech and the baby
ETA- even at our Level II they couldn't tell the sex.

Sometimes they can, sometimes they can't. With my 1st, at 16 weeks, we found out the baby was a girl.....we found out it was a BOY at the level 2 (20 weeks). At 16 wks, he was in an awkward position and his testicles hadn't descended yet. This time DS was clearly a boy at 16 weeks (and apparently still is).

ASK!!!!!!!!! they told me at 13 weeks and confirmed it every sono after that it was infact a little Girl!!!! it cant hurt to ask!
