How do you go about choosing a therpapist/psychologist to talk to?

IMO word of mouth...
If you have anyone that sees a therapist...ask for a recommendation

Word of mouth is probably the best way - It might be an uncomfortable and/or private subject to ask someone about though - If you have a friend or family member that is open about it, ask them -

You can try going through your insurance but you may not find the right person for you right away... I would say word of mouth too
