financial planning anyone??
We went to day and although I admit he didnt tell us anyting we didnt know he put us on a strict budget and the goal is to buy a house in 18-24 months with 20% down and still have a nice nest egg for emergencies
I know that sounds like along time but, we have to live in queens b/c my dh residency requirement, well the city not queens but we want bayside little neck those areas which are super $$. so anyway we go back in one month to tell him how we are doing. If anyone needs a financial planner FM i highly recommend this guy. he is in hicksville right off old country road.

thats not long at all!!
We may be getting so money towards a house, but if we dont, I would probably look into this, as I think thats the time frame we would be looking at for the same goals...

Does he charge by the hour or meeting or is he selling products (i.e. taking a percentage or fees for insurance, investments, etc??)

I just started using one and she does my whole family too.Totally professional so no revealing confidential info to other family memebers, She is based in Idaho but travels all over the us. Let me know if interested and I can give you her unfo. She just came back from a clients in NC. Shes in her 30's ,married and has 3 kids. She is very personable and made the whole process for me very non-scary
