Finally have updates on the work to the house!
We finally got the landscapers in to put sod down on the entire property...here are some before and after pics:

Eventually we plan to update the facade of the house and add two windows up top and a cover over the entrance...when we can afford it. 
For now we just need to get railings for the entrance, put up the mailbox and plan out landscaping for next spring.
ETA: I should say that the grass we had before looks okay in pics but in person it was a mess. Mostly weeds and crabgrass.
