FINALLY have the perfect blue nail color!
I got tired of searching...I was getting SO FRUSTRATED because I couldn't find a nice light blue
a) with NO SHIMMER
b) that wasn't super sheer (otherwise blueberry crumb would've been perfect!)
c) didn't look like blue chalk...or whiteout with blue in it
so i decided to make one myself.
I bought Essie Great Expectations (a matte neutral - grayish with bluish undertones)
Ulta Wild Night (matte dark navy - no shimmer) - on clearance for $2 at ulta!
very very similar to this color:
and used a couple of drops of a milky white that I had laying around, just to brighten it up...
and came up with THIS!
I love it!!! It's almost like a wedgewood blue... not sheer, not shimmery, and not milky. YAYYYYY - FINALLY!
(I know this post makes it seem like I had NOTHING ELSE TO DO - hahahahah - this process actually took about 6 minutes. And I do have a life.  I promise.)

That's a great idea. I'm always thinking of playing with my essie shades and making new ones but I never do.
Wearing St Barts blue on my toes now..
