finally getting DD to nap
A big thank you to everyone who read & commented on so many of my posts when I was complaining that I couldn't get DD to nap. I was really about to loose it after trying everything under the sun but our routine seems to be working. I was hesitant to even write this because I don't want to jinx it
Just wanted to let everyone know I appreciate it & encourage other parents of non- sleepers that it does get better!

I cleared our schedule & just concentrated on getting her into a routine. Which is not like me because I like to be free to do what ever comes up but she really needed it.
Breakfast: 8am Lunch: 11:45am play (park or something to really tire her out) Nap 1pm - 3:30,4 Dinner: 5pm
At 12:45 I tell her we're going to take a nap soon (& she says no ) At 1pm I say ok nappy time, bring he up to her dark room & do her bedtime routine. Change diaper, sippy cup of milk, read book & rock her for a little.
The first few days were BAD. She fought me like crazy! I wound up rocking her to sleep after about 40mins because she gets herself too worked up to CIO.
Each day the rocking time got shorter & she fought less.
For about 2 weeks I had to rock her to sleep & then put her in her crib but now I can put her in awake & she will fall asleep on her own.
I still rock her 5 - 10 minutes but if she's really cranky she won't let go so I'll do it a little longer.
I know it's still not ideal but I don't mind taking the extra time to rock her so she doesn't cry.
I guess every parent just has to figure out what works for their child, it's so hard.
Good luck!
