Fever Reducers?
So I am alittle sad. We just went to the Dr yesterday and DS was the picture of health no problems except teething (6 teeth at a time might I add! ) Now I am a dentist and I know kids run fevers during the teething process sometimes but usually low grade. Anyway DS woke up this morning with 102! I am not overly concerned b/c I know his ears and throat are clear as he had a check yesterday but I think this is a bit high for teething. Anyway he has his monthly check -up Monday but I was wondering if anyone had any good remidies/ meds that they have found with their own DC that have helped to relieve a high temp? Thanks Ladies!

Re: Fever Reducers?
My mom used to put onions in our socks
Also, Little Colds has these "cooling rags" that claim to help reduce the fever, but I never used them so I dont know if they work. Can't hurt to try, though.
Hope DC feels better soon!

Re: Fever Reducers?
102 is probably more along the lines of a cold/virus than teething. I would just give lots of fluid, tylenol or motrin if DS seems uncomfortable, warm bathes.

Since we just went through temps of 101-104, I can tell you that motrin worked best for us.
Also cool rag on the forehead & wrists also helped.
I hope he's better soon!
