Fever questions
DS is 15.5 months and has been running a fever for the last 24 hours or so (101.8-102.2). I'm almost positive it is teething related, but when do I worry? Do I need to call ped? What can I do to bring fever down?
Do you alternate motrin and tylenol? If so, how often do you give each?
He's not really ever been sick like this so needless to say I'm kinda freaking out. He's acting ok, just very irritable, cranky, etc. and having a tough time sleeping (wakes up screaming)

Re: Fever questions
Normally teething fevers dont go that high...
Sounds like an ear infection to me.
ETA: I usually always give motrin first for a fever...it works faster and lasts longer. If it is a high fever (which to me 102 is not because my DS's go 104+) than I alternate motrin and tylenol anything over 103.

Re: Fever questions
I would call the doctor since he may have an ear infection. There were times when DS had a fever around 101 and was miserable at night. I thought it was related to teething since he was cutting his first tooth, but he ended up having an ear infection.
Hope he feels better soon!
