Fever last night, fine today - can I take her out?
DD is 16 months old and had a fever last night of 103. I gave her meds and within an hour the fever dropped to 100 and she went to sleep. Woke up this morning with no fever but seeming a little low energy. After some food she seems almost back to her normal self.
We're supposed to meet some out of town friends for a late lunch and I just am unsure whether I should take her out or not. She has no fever, but clearly she was and possibly still is fighting something. It's beautiful and warm here with a nice breeze, so I'm not worried that she'll be too cold or too hot.
What do you think? Should I take her out or keep her in?
Thanks from a nervous Mommy.

I think the fever will spike again to be honest. The only reason it is probably low now is because of the medicine you gave her and it's morning. By afternoon it will start going up. Especially if it was 103, it's not just from teething.
I would think she will be mushy and cranky later and maybe want to take a long nap, my kids usually do when they aren't feeling well.

I was going to say the same! The meds. probably kicked in and when it wears off, the fever may spike again!

I agree. If you can leave her with someone, I'd do that & still meet up with the friends.

I definitely would not take her. There are a couple of wicked things going around right now.

I would take her out, as long as she is eating and seems okay in herself, you should be fine.
The weather is so beautiful isn't it!!

Rachel the weather is AMAZING! I can hardly believe this is Ireland in April!
In the end I actually did not take her out. She got up from her nap and her temp was back at 100 and that was while she was on her meds. So I decided not to.
Thanks for all the advice ladies - I don't know what I'd do without you all sometimes!!
