Fetal Heart Doppler
Thinking of getting one of these at ebay or at babybeat.com since sonos are too few and far between. Anyone using one of these and is there a particular brand that you would recommend. I know they have to be FDA approved. Do you have to get your OB's approval to use one and are they safe? Thanks!

Re: Fetal Heart Doppler
We got one. It's the angelsounds one. We don't use it often. But it is reassuring when I don't feel the baby moving around. We use it for maybe a minute once a week or so. Just long enough to hear the bug and relax.

Re: Fetal Heart Doppler
I have the babybeat one that displays the heart rate - less counting for me! Wanted to order the angelsounds one but amazon won't sell them anymore. You don't need a prescription; when you order you check a box that says you're using it under a doctor's supervision or something and that's it.

Re: Fetal Heart Doppler
Thanks everyone for the feedback. I did notice that Amazon for whatever reason doesnt sell the angelsounds doppler anymore. I'm debating if I should rent one at babybeats for the next couple of months at $45 per month until at least there is some baby movement or buy one at E-Bay for $55. I wonder if one is better than the other as far as ease of use and quality of the unit.

Re: Fetal Heart Doppler
How far along are you? The babybeat one is hospital-grade and worth $500 if you buy it. I used it at 10 weeks and found the h b in 10 minutes. That's really early. My cousin bought the angelsounds one at 12 or 13 weeks and it worked for her. Don't know if it would have worked earlier.

Re: Fetal Heart Doppler
I'm going on 14 weeks and like you I am due in August (8/30). Maybe I should rent the one at babybeat since I probably will only need to use it until I can start to feel the baby moving which I guess should be in another month or so. Although, I guess it would be nice to use a doppler on the days when there isnt any movement for peace of mind. I like that the babybeat one is hospital grade.
