Re: FET 5 day transfer and gender?
sorry to hijack but my close friend did a 5 day FET and had a boy. I could have swore she also said with either the 3 or 5 day (dont remember which one) their is more chance for a boy. I am not sure of the reasoning though, she had really wanted a girl so she was looking it up. Congrats on your

Re: FET 5 day transfer and gender?
I had a five day transfer and I am having .
I had read that too about boys being more common but my OB told me he has seen so many girls come out of IVF. He said most of the twins he has delivered that were IVF were 2 girls.

Fresh IVF 5dt- FET 5dt (from same cycle)-
I've heard ICSI favors boys, but I think in the end it's all about the same!!

Re: FET 5 day transfer and gender?
I think it has more to do with if you have ICSI or not, not the number of transfer days.
Boys are faster, girls live longer. If you have ICSI, they are just taking the strongest sperm. If you don't do ICSI, they are just scrambling the eggs and the sperm and whoever gets there the quickest wins. Since boys are the quickest, it would make sense that people who did not have ICSI would have a higher likelihood of a boy.
I had a 5DT, fresh, did ICSI and was pregnant with boy/girl twins. Lost the girl, but now have a 22 month old boy.
Pregnant with a girl right now, au naturale.

I had a girl but I was told that 60-70% of 5dt's result in boys!

Re: FET 5 day transfer and gender?
I had a fresh 5dt transfer and am pregnant with . I had ICSI with half my eggs and then other half fertilized on their own (we were unexplained IF). not sure which 2 embryos they put back (ICSI or our own fertilized).
