FET- # to put back...

I'm just curious to see people's opinion on this. I know how DH & I feel, but I wanted to see what others think also. I'll do it as a poll, but if you had success, please post the # you put back ,as well as the # that took. TIA! (Oh also, age--- not exact if you prefer not to )


ETA: DH & I are both in our early to mid 30s

In your situation, I would do 3. I think it may depend on the quality of the empryos though. It the quality wasn't great, I may even do 4. Definitely no less than 2.

if you have perfect embryos you need to stick with 2, imperfect go 3. you've already proven that you can get pregnant and for you staying pregnant is immune and has little to do with the number of embryos in there. i would think with your history the chances of triplets would be high. once you are out of the woods as far as immune mc goes, the last thing you need is a super complicated pregnancy that is nearly guaranteed to put you on bedrest and end with preemies in the NICU. i know multiples seem like a good idea but IMO id rather risk a BFN then another mc or sick babies.

Thanks everyone. I refuse to put back less than 2. It's a frozen cycle and for all the fets we have done over the years, only 1 time did a frozen transfer have both take. And only 1 time for a fresh cycle did both take for that matter.
We have put back 3 and had none take, put back 2 and had 1 take, etc... DH and I want to fo 3. Dr doesn't want me doing more than 1. I'm not taking all of these shots and paying oop for an fet to put back 1. I'm trying to do my own research online to see what the odds are of success w/ 1
I think we need to do more frequent bloodwork for immunological and clotting.... But what do i know? have I mentioned how much I hate this lately?

Are these frozen blasts on Day 5 or frozen earlier? Also...what were the grades.

I'd do 3.

We did 3 FETs total.

First FET - put back 3 and was BFN.

Second FET - put back 3, BFP with twins (lost one at 9 weeks and went on to have our son).

Third FET - put back our remaining 2, chemical pregnancy.

Ours were all blasts frozen on day 5 or 6.

day 5... all good quality supposedly...

In that case..since blasts have a much higher success rate and you are practically a baby..to me anyway ..I would only put back as many as you are willing to give birth to!! That being said..I would put back at least 2..no way would I only put back one unless I was unwilling to parent twins. GL!!

My successful cycle we put back two 5 day blasts and one took, I was 38 at the time. Good luck it should be whatever you and your DH are comfortable with.
