Festive attire?
I was invited to a gala on a Tuesday night this month that will be taking place at Ciprianis. There will be a cocktail hour followed by a sit down dinner. The invitation says festive attire. What exactly does this mean I have never heard i before. Thanks!

Re: Festive attire?
According to Emily Post:
Festive Attire For Him: * Seasonal sport coat or blazer in color of choice and slacks * open-collar shirt or * shirt and "festive" or holiday-themed tie
For Her: * Short cocktail dress or * long dressy skirt and top or * dressy pants outfit

Re: Festive attire?
Thanks so much everyone. I was at a total loss when it came to this. This gives me a great excuse to go shopping (Im 5 months pregnant and dont fit into any of my cocktail dresses). Unfortunately i'll have to skip the bellini's but I will be indulging in the food!
