Fert Call
Had my ER yesterday and got the fert call this AM...
They retrieved 13 eggs, 5 of which were mature. 4 of the 5 fertilized!!!! We were scheduled for a Day 5 ET, as we have 3yo twins and just wanted to transfer back 1 embie, and we were told a Day 5 blast gives us the best chance at a viable pregnancy. However the nurse said they might change this to a Day 3.
She caught me off guard with this - do you think there a problem with the embies that they would change the day of transfer? I'm so worried now....

Re: Fert Call
I wouldn't worry too much. I think its standard procedure in my RE's practice to go to a 3 day transfer if there are less than 4 or 5.
Good Luck!

Re: Fert Call
I wouldn't worry! My dr said that the success rate for a 5dt is only slightly higher but fewer embies may make it to day 5. Good luck!!!!

Re: Fert Call
Best of luck!!
BTW I was in the same boat as you. The dr originally told me I would have a 5dt and switched it to a 3 day.....and it was successful!!
