thanks to Louis. Great job. It was a stockade fence that needed to be redone and some parts fell down.

I should call him and ask if I get my back fence for a big discount now that I got him 4+ jobs in 2 weeks LOL!

he's very nice and his guys are great.

He recommended a mason for my brick work and I think we will be using him but can't start that project until end of March.

Louis came yesterday to give us an estimate and I think we're going to use him too!

What helped make our decision was that he was able to answer a question we had about our property line and the other guy didn't even bother. Louis just walked over to a certain spot, uncovered some dirt with his foot and there was the spray painted mark from our neighbor's survey! Saved us some potential problems with our neighbors.

What is the name of his actual company though?

Please allow me to give you all an update on this "wonderful" company - Premier Builders and Fencing Group.

I recently agreed to let Louis put up a fence similar to the one he did for my neighbor. I agreed because his calls asking for the job were incessant, he wreaked of desperation, and I figured in the middle of winter I would get a decent price. Well, I''m not sure if I got a good price or not, because for all I know the fence could collapse in a few months. It''s not my line of work, so I don''t know what to expect in the future.

What I DO know is that this guy Louis is your typical scumbag salesman, who begs for the business, does the job, IMMEDIATELY rushes to the bank to cash the check, and then is never heard from again. He DID NOT call me afterwards to ask how it looked, to ask if I was happy, to tell me that he basically took one of my in-ground sprinklers out of commission (and then said to me "oh, they''re cheap, you can replace it"). I got home that night to find my yard a MESS. In my back yard they left two cement blocks which they took from under my deck. They left scrap wire all over the back yard. They left their garbage/scraps in MY garbage can so that I could not use it until after the collection, and a tree which was removed and cut was left in front of my neighbor''s house.

But the reason I am writing is for something much more simple. I had asked for a warranty on the fence, which he said he had, because Louis himself indicated that the fence may "discolor" over time, and as a consumer it''s my right to have a warranty on something I have purchased. Well, guess what, my suspicions about him were correct. I have called him FIVE times, and he has yet to bring me the warranty!! He suddenly doesn''t answer his phone or get messages, and he continues to say "sorry, no problem, I will bring it''... and a month later, nothing.

Please, if you are reading this, do yourself a favor and do not use this man or his sham of a company - Premier Builders and Fencing - for this job (or ANY job). He wreaks of desperation, which is understandable, and he will NOT be responsible for the work once it''s done. If you''re ok with this, then good luck. I also noticed after googling him that the one post which rated his company (1 star) has been removed. He is not listed in the Better Business Bureau and will disappear right after he does your job. (unless of course you recommend him to a neighbor, then he will screw your neighbor too before disappearing). I hope I have saved someone the trouble that I am going through. If it means spending a little extra, please do so, you will be happier in the long run.

There are plenty of fence companies on Long Island with people that are more honest and trustworthy. Unfortunately in life, you often get what you pay for, and this guy Louis is just one more example. If you pay less, you will get less. And trust me, this is in no way personal, I''m just a very disappointed customer. I should have gone with my gut, but hopefully I can save someone else the trouble.
