Feeling very emotional today

DH and I had finally settled on the furniture for the nursery. We were going to get Pali Wendy and were so excited. Then we realized we can't fit all of the pieces in the nursery. I thought I was going to cry. It's so strange... I am not normally THAT emotional and today I feel horrible that the baby's room is small. Are there worse things to worry about? Yes, but I still feel bad.Chat Icon

Now we have to figure out what we're going to do.

It stinks because we really like the set but can't fit all 3 pieces. Then we also like Bonavita Hudson but don't want to get a dark color (even though we really love it) becaue of our cat, who scratches everything. Chat Icon

I understand. Just hormones. You know that logically the size of your baby's room is just fine, but it's hard to hold back the tears sometimes.

Feel better! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I'm sorry you are feeling sad :(

My twins will be in a big closet for 2 years lol...i'm moving back in with my parents and their closet off their bedroom (not our room) is going to be the nursery.

It's ok sweetie! I think we are all super emotional nowadays... I know I am. Chat Icon Any time you feel sad that your baby boy's room is small, think about my situation: DH and I live in a 2 bedroom home. DH has 3 [yes, count 'em 3!] kids from his first marriage. The kids stay with us every other weekend. Guess what? I will have the baby and 3 children in one bedroom!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Not AT ALL how I expected my first baby's room situation to be. Chat Icon I will also add- the room is about 10'x6'. Chat Icon Thank goodness for bunkbeds with trundles, that's all I have to say.

Now worries... it will be fine! Less furniture means less to dust! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Edit for spelling

i totally get where you are coming from, i didn't realize how small the baby's room was until i measured the walls and realized that we need a smaller changing table than the one i originally wanted... and i don't think we'll be able to fit a glider in at all!

the baby won't notice, promise Chat Icon and those tears are just hormones!!

Re: Feeling very emotional today

Our nursery will be very tiny too, we have a small house. The room doesn't even have a closest!

Just be thankful you have a roof to put over the baby's head, there are tons of people who are in worst circumstances than you. Plus the baby does not know the size of the room.

Do you have to get all three pieces? Ours comes with 4 or 5 pieces and I think we are only getting 2 so we can have a glider as well.
