Feeling Terrible...Help
This is my 2nd day home sick from work...I've had a terrible cold, very congested & cough & worst of all, a pounding headache....I haven't taken anything but throat lozengers....
What can I take to relieve my headache??? HELP please. It's right behind my eyes & kills me when I cough.
I'm 20 wks.

I took Tylenol a few times. And when I was sick I took Robitussin.

I would call your doctor-they all have different standards. Mine says I can take any Tylenol products including their cold medication but I know others are more restrictive.

Talk to your OB there are some meds that are okay to take in addition to tylenol that might help you drain.
Also to help with the pain behind the eyes - try this mixture it usually relieves it - something spicy which will help open you up, Steam or take a hot shower (not too hot) for at least 30 mins to help you drain, hot fluids - like tea or hot lemonade or soups, keep up your fluids will help to keep from getting too tight.

I would definitely check with the Dr. I take Sudafed and/or tylenol.

You can take tylenol products if you need to. Call to make sure, but there is no reason to make yourself a martyr.

take some extra strength tylenol or even some tylenol pm to sleep it off...feel better

my doctor said the same...any tylenol product is safe including pm, cold and sinus, etc

Thanks ladies, I called my dr. & she said the same, any tylenol is fine. She also said to see my family dr (but not sure I'm going to go that route).

If you've been feeling horrible for a few days - i think you should go see your doctor....now, more than ever, you need to keep your body as healthy as possible!

I think I'm going to go this route, b/c I took the ES Tylenol & my cold seems better, but the headache is still brutal

i was going to suggest the steam/vaporizor too. run hot water and drape a towel over you head over the sink?
how about wasabi - it opens up my sinuses???  hope you feel better

try putting a warm compress on your eyes. It wont cure it, but it may help a little.
I fill a poland spring bottle with warm water, and press the bottom on my eye.
