Feeling like a horrible person....
Ok so my SIL who has known her boyfriend for a few MONTHS is getting married. I know I should feel happy for her because she is thrilled that she finally met someone, but all I can think of is that she is going to have kids before my husband and I who have been together for 12 years will. I feel like a bad person for even having these thoughts but I can't help it - I think I would lose it watching her pregnant (she has already suggested that she wants to start right away). Am I awful???

I'm in a similar situation, my SIL just announced she's getting married next year to a guy she's only been dating for 6 months now. Even though i am extremely happy that she has found the one i also know she is in a rush to get preggers. if she gets pregnant before me i dont know how i will handle it. DH and I got married last year Aug and have been ttc since Oct last year.

You're not a horrible person! I've had many of these moments throughout the last 19 months of TTC. The one most similar to yours involves a friend of mine. When she got engaged I was pregnant. I needed to order a BM dress and kept delaying it b/c I was scared of a m/c and didn't know what size dress to get. I did end up with a m/c and sadly ordered a regular dress. She then got married, got off BCP and conceived 2 weeks after her wedding. She is due in a month and I'm still not preggo. All I can think about is that I was 5+ months into my TTC journey and she wasn't even engaged. And she was "there" for me until she got preggo. Since then, she hasn't asked me once how I'm doing. And, she has no idea that I'm doing IVF b/c she is just not involved anymore and that hurts a lot. I was also actually sitting in my RE's waiting room when I got her text that "It's a  " and broke down in tears.  It's really hard, especially when others don't get it!

You are totally normal for feeling that way. Don't feel bad at all.
I was so upset when I found out my cousin was pregnant with her 2nd. My mom even had to forewarn me because she was going to do some grand announcement. Thank god my mom said something cause I may have freaked out at the party! (I did cry when my mom told me. . .  )
If your SIL gets pregnant before you and you are upset. . . .be upset. Let it all out and you'll feel better later. Also in my case, my niece has eased the pain of infertility for me. I get to play with her and have fun and she even sometimes prefers me over her parents! Your future nieces or nephews may do the same for you.
Good Luck with everyone and hoping you'll have the kids first.

no, not horrible..i can TOTALLY relate. My story is different but my BFF stopped talking to me when i was pregnant because she was having fertility issues...fine i got over it, she eventually went on to have a baby..and then she went on to have ANOTHER so now here i am stuggling with getting pregnant and she has two kids...Also right after my miscarriage i found out about two more friends who were pregnant...everyone is on their second. It makes me CRAZY!!!!

Not at al!! My DH's cousin got married exactly a year ago and said for a while that she was going to have a baby right away...... and I kept saying to my dh .. .yeaaaaaaaaa lets see if she even ovulates regularly  (I was bitter  ) ...
Well, she is currently home with her 3wk old.. and me? .. I'm mourning the loss of my son who I lost a year and ten days ago. It's almost the anniversary of when I lost him.
I'm totally jealous but I have to believe we'll have our miracle too!!

infertility is hard and effects u in every way possible
