feeling like a crack baby's mom right now...

I am in sooooooo much pain.
I am having root canal treatment therapy done.

Tylenol isn't cutting it.
I have left over percocets from c section
I would love to take one. I am nervous about bfing though. I feel like I should refrain...but they gave it to me in the hospital.

any thoughts?

If the doctors are telling you that there won't be any traces in your breastmilk, I say go ahead and take them. I take a painkiller every.single.day for my back, and my midwife and GP have told me its fine.

Do what you gotta to so long as its safe!!!

While its never recommended to take a drug for any other reason that it was specifically prescribed for.... let me ask you this...

Weren't you bf when you had your c/s and taking that? If it was safe then.. then wouldn't it be safe now?

I agree with the APs. I assume you were BFing after your c-section, and you took it then, right? Call your pediatrician or OB if you want reassurance, but I really think you'll be fine.

v-I just feel selfish. I know it sounds silly, but in the hospital was for major surgery...this is for a root that was forgotten about.

I have been in pain for 10 days now, houseguests, graduation in the mountains, my baby's baptism in which i was so out of it i called her the wrong name, hosting, cleaning...i want to have a painfree night.

i feel selfish, but yes, OB did give me a huge push to fill script, which i originally wasn't going to do.
