feeling "down"

before i got PG, every once in a while i would get this feeling of being "down" - not really depressed, more like the feeling you get when you are homesick. this would happen maybe once every two weeks, and i would just ignore it and it would go away after a few minutes.

now that i am PG, i get it at least several times a day - most often when i am thinking about the baby. i can usually ignore it - but it scares me!

it has to just be hormones, right? usually when i am "hormonal," it manifests itself into feelings of crankiness and b!tchiness, not depression.

Re: feeling "down"

I felt the exact same way, actually sometimes I do still that way. It's very random and it goes away within a few minutes. I have spoken to my doctor about it and he just says it's the pregnancy experience. I say it's hormonal related because so much is happening to your body and it's overwhelming! It's getting better for me now that I'm approaching my due date in 6 weeks Chat Icon

Re: feeling "down"

Totally normal. Realize what is taking place in your body and what goes into making such a wonderful human being. Of course things just get out of whack sometimes.

Maybe a nice big icecream sundae with a warm brownie might help. Chat Icon

Re: feeling "down"

I'm sure its all hormonal. Happens to the best of us.

Just hang in there. The feeling will pass and before you know it you'll be amped about the baby and what you have on tap for planning of the newest addition.

And of course, you always have us!!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon
